The Dreamcatchers Foundation is organizing an activity with the victims of the Tsunami

The Dreamcatchers Foundation is working with other 3 organizations to prepare activities to celebrate the International Day for Sharing Life Stories. With the Society for Education and Action (SEA), they will work in 3 villages around Mahabalipuram. In partnership with Rural Organization for Social Education (ROSE), the activities will be developed in Vellakoil and Thalampettai. Finally, with Jeevajyothi, the organization will work in the villages of Sathankuppam and Koraikuppam. All these activities will be carried out in villages affected by the Tsunami in 2004. The project is called “The Wave of Life” and they’re planning to have intergenerational Story circles, story telling by children who collected these stories from their village members and enactments or small exhibitions in the villages.

Society for Education and Action along with wanphaitoday organizes activites in three villages in India

To celebrate the International Day for Sharing Life Stories, it will happen some activites in Mahabalipuram from the 16 - 18 May 2008. There will be a labyrinth walk in three villages: Padupattinam, New Nemelli and Kalpakam. The elders and adults from these villages will do the labyrinth walk while children will witness and the community facilitator will facilitate the process. After the labyrinth walk the group will be divided into smaller group and in each group there will be 3 - 5 children along with 3 - 5 elders. While the elders and adults share their life stories the children will document and capture the image of the stories of the elders and adults.
